In addition to nourishing women our aim is to raise funds and awareness about Fibromyalgia. We are concerned that many are walking around with the disease and don't even know it. Millions of women suffer from Fibromyalgia, which is an auto immune disease that affects the central nervous system and is marked by chronic pain and fatigue. A generous portion of event proceeds will go to support the National Fibromyalgia Association.
Sadly, 1 in 50 Americans are diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and the overwhelming majority (80-90%) of them are women. Women are 7 times more likely to have the disease than men. Chances are you know someone who is battling the pain and fatigue of this dreadful disease. Often a Fibromyalgia diagnosis takes years. Help us educate and empower the Charlotte Community to become Firbroaware.
ARE YOU THE QUEEN OF THE HEELS? Stiletto Challenge Participation Details The Stiletto Challenge is a "walk-off" to see who can strut their stuff the best in the hottest heels that are 4 inches or higher. The Stiletto Challenge is an act of female solidarity to get as many women as possible to take a stand against Fibromyalgia because the typical woman who has it can not walk in high heels. The challenge will take place during the "Royal Affair" and the winner will walk away with an array of prizes and the title "Queen of Heels." To participate, select the free "Stiletto Challenge" ticket option above when you register.
